I am Lara. I am Health Coach Institute Certified Coach and Overwhelm Practitioner. My focus is helping people achieve significant life changes so they can feel at peace and happy rather than completely stressed out.

My Story: From Chaos to Calm and Why I Help Others Now

If you’d known me a few years ago, you probably wouldn’t have believed I’d end up doing this kind of work. I’ve always been naturally chaotic – the kind of person who loses things constantly, forgets important tasks, and has mess follow them from one room to the next. It felt like I was constantly failing at life admin and organisation, no matter how hard I tried.

Back then, I was overwhelmed almost all the time. Bills piled up, emails were unread, projects half-done, and I lived with a constant sense of dread that I’d missed something important. It was exhausting and embarrassing, especially when I felt like I was trying harder than everyone else just to keep up.

Things began to shift when I finally started finding systems that actually worked for my brain – simple, low-effort strategies that helped me feel less panicked and more in control. Not overnight, and not without support, but slowly and steadily, my life became more manageable. These weren’t quick fixes – they were realistic approaches that helped me move from survival mode into something calmer and more stable.

Now, people are surprised when I say I used to live in chaos. My space is mostly tidy, I’m no longer constantly losing things, and I don’t live in a state of permanent panic anymore. For me this has not come naturally to me from birth but from necessity. In fact now people come to me when they want to switch from chaos to organisation or overwhelm to calm.

While I’ve built effective systems that help me function well most days, it’s important to know that I still rely on support – personally and professionally – to keep things running smoothly. I believe it’s OK to need help, and I advocate for the same for my clients. I’m not perfect and I still need the systems and support I’ve put in place, but life finally feels do-able. That’s why I do this work now.
